Goodbye Stack Overflow Jobs,

You were the best job board for developers in the world. You were lightyears ahead of other job platforms. You had the most precise and advanced filters.

You helped tens, maybe hundreds, of thousands people get their first developer job. Stack Overflow's Dev Story showed future employers what people built. And you inspired me in creating user-first features for job seekers.

And now you'll be gone.

I'll try continue in your spirit. With advanced filters, rich member profiles, and trying to bring the best jobs in the world to developers, designers and other remote workers. It won't be the same, but I'll give it my best.

On behalf of thousands of developers,

Thanks for everything,

Pieter Levels @ Remote OK

P.S. Want to say goodbye to Stack Overflow Jobs and thank the team? Tweet your story #goodbyeStackOverflowJobs and I'll add it below:

Reading what people across the internet had to say about Stack Overflow's sun-setting of job ads/dev story let me know we did something people enjoyed. I'm hoping we can bring new ideas and features that people will enjoy just as much if not more than traditional job boards

https://t.co/eL5K07U407 @StackOverflow I am sad to hear you are shutting down jobs. The only thing I have to say is Thank You, you changed our lives in more than one occasion with jobs. We are very grateful.

Damn, this is sad. Stack Overflow Jobs was the best developer job board I used.

Not gotten a job of there, but several interviews. And it had a good layout, filters and organisation. https://t.co/YIbeIKXCrX

Thank you Stack Overflow Jobs team for all your hard work over the years, https://t.co/FQsPabMVr5. Through you I got one of the jobs I’m most proud of in my whole career!

Got a job via a stack overflow ad once, it was a great place to work. Generally I believe the quality of the employer is better on stack overflow than seek or linkedin

The first time I got an email from Stack Overflow's Jobs team years ago I was scared they wanted me to take down the jobs I indexed

Instead they were happy I did and only asked me for a special admin login on my site to edit or close job posts I indexed from them

Super sweet

What, it’s going away!? Well that sucks.
I actually found my upcoming job in Ireland thanks to SO Jobs.
It’s been a wonderful ride! Who’s building the next one to replace it?
